Homestay camp program is the full immersion language learning experience, as campers get to stay with a local Chinese family. We selected our host families carefully and make sure their home environment is a safe one for our students. Everything is included: Chinese classes, activities, excursions & field trips, weekend activities, accommodation, airport transfer and all meals.

I love this school！My 3 daughters have attended classes twice， each time 2 weeks. The elder girls have become fluent there. But there is not only a big improvement of the language but of culture. The teachers not only teach them but also play with them. They eat together and have a very good time.

What is the course schedule?
It depends on the program. During the Chinese-only Camp kids will have Chinese classes from 13:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday. Other types of Camps include different activities and fiend trips. Kid will have cultural activities or field trips to the most popular Chinese destinations in the mornings and Chinese classes after lunch and till 16:00.
Who are the teachers?
Our teachers are all native Chinese speakers who are highly-qualified and experienced in teaching Chinese to foreigners. Our teachers are university graduates with majors in Chinese language education or Chinese literature. They have also previously obtained a “teaching Mandarin as a second language” certificate before they joined us and successfully completed That’s Mandarin’s mandatory Teachers Training Course (TTC).
What teaching materials do you use?
We developed our own teaching and learning methods. We use our own Chinese learning platform for all our classes. There you can find all the materials, read the teacher’s comments, review your lessons, and even schedule your classes.
Will the classes be taught in English?
All of our classes are taught in Chinese to give students a fully immersive Chinese experience. Even for absolute beginners, our teachers will only use limited English to help you understand. Our teacher will use pictures, videos, signs, and gestures to help students remember and understand new material.
Do you provide accommodation?
Yes. But it’s only available for Full and Homestay Camp students. But we can help find accommodation for Day Camp students as well.
Can the parents attend activities and classes?
No. We want teens to get a fully-immersion Chinese experience. We use only the Chinese language during our classes and want teens to speak Chinese as much as possible during their stay with us. That way they will be able to boost their Chinese skills and achieve great results by the end of the program.
Can I change the program duration?
You can. But you will need to let us know 1-2 months in advance. If you can’t come to our school this year due to an accident or any kind of unexpected situation, your kid can come and join our program next year.
